The Israeli military detained six settlers in the occupied West Bank overnight after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say the suspects attacked security forces.

Hard-right activists clashed with troops and set fire to a security site following a growing wave of attacks on Palestinians in the occupied territory.

The incident highlights the lack of law and order in parts of the occupied territory where Israelis associated with the settler movement have increasingly attacked Palestinians without consequences.
