A major decision by the U.S. Supreme Court Thursday morning involving Planned Parenthood in South Carolina could have a ripple effect across the country.Legal experts say the ruling means that states will have the right to block Planned Parenthood's access to federal Medicaid funding for non-abortion services.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Planned Parenthood South Atlantic an't sue the state over its closing off of the nonprofit's Medicaid funding because it provides abortions.

The Supreme Court says states can block the country’s biggest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, from receiving Medicaid money for health services such as contraception and cancer screenings.
