Real Madrid have issued a statement to express the club’s desire to see plans to play Villarreal vs Barcelona in Miami to be rejected. The RFEF has forwarded a request for the game to be played in the United States to UEFA and FIFA for a final approval, but Real Madrid are not happy with the plan and want it binned.

Villarreal says there will be free travel and tickets for season-ticket holders if its league match against Barcelona is played in Miami in December.

On Monday, the RFEF approved La Liga’s request for the match to be played at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium in December.
