The NBA world saw 5-time All-Star John Wall announce his retirement. The former star of the Washington Wizards played 11 years in the league--missing a season due to injury and another because he was too productive for the Houston Rockets in 2022--and averaged 18.7 points, 8.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds in his career.
Washington selected Wall at No. 1 overall in 2010 after he spent one season with the Kentucky Wildcats. He was part of head coach John Calipari's first recruiting class in 2009. The five-time NBA All-Star's last action in the league came during the 2022-23 campaign when he appeared in 34 games for the LA Clippers.
