Apple pushed ads for Brad Pitt’s F1 movie into the one iPhone app it should never touch, Wallet, so I’m not going to see it.

If you have an iPhone, you can watch a special version of the "F1" trailer in the AppleTV app that activates the phone's haptic engines (basically fancy vibrations), so that your device rumbles along with the vehicles' engines. (You'll also be encouraged to buy tickets when you open the app.)

Apple really wants you to know that F1: The Movie is now playing in theaters everywhere. The company has promoted its Brad Pitt racing film with advertisements across at least six iPhone apps leading up to today's wide release, including the App Store, Apple Wallet, Apple Sports, Apple Podcasts, iTunes Store, and of course the Apple TV app.
