Originally code-named Kusto, Azure Data Explorer is the commercial version of the tools Microsoft uses to manage its own logging data across Azure.

The latest cloud updates include Cosmos DB support for Azure Storage Explorer, new Azure Backup agent capabilities and automatic updates for Scale Set virtual machines.
