BitLocker is officially only available for Windows 10/11 Pro. However, the tool is actually also included in the Home versions, just hidden.

Fix the “Cannot install Windows, BitLocker Drive Encryption is enabled” error by disabling BitLocker, unlocking with a recovery key, or deleting the partition.

Since device encryption and BitLocker are not available on Windows Home editions, most Windows users will need a third-party encryption app to protect their PCs and local hard drives.
