The tiny Raspberry Pi is an incredibly versatile computer, but in order to maximize its capabilities, you'll first need to connect it to a Wi-Fi network.

In Finder on your Mac, under Shared in the sidebar, connect to the Time Machine partition on the Raspberry Pi using pi and raspberry as the username and password, respectively.

Eject the hard drive and SD card from your Mac and connect them to the Raspberry Pi. Also connect a USB keyboard and mouse, an HDMI cable and a display, and connect the power supply.

Raspberry Pi Connect can replace both SSH (Secure Shell) and VNC as a way of remotely accessing your Raspberry Pi.

New ISO images of Raspbian Linux based on Debian Stretch have been released, not only for the Raspberry Pi but also for PC and Mac installations.

The Raspberry Pi project has now launched "Connect", the beta version of a simple remote maintenance service. Access is possible with the web browser.
