Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber is having a great season at the plate, and he reached a new milestone against the Nationals.

Kyle Schwarber hit a tiebreaking, three-run homer in the seventh inning and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 6-2 to snap a three-game skid.

Though Gore needed 37 pitches in the first inning, the Phillies’ lead did not balloon. Nick Castellanos flew out to the center-field warning track for the night’s first out. Edmundo Sosa and Otto Kemp both struck out with the bases loaded.
