Facebook is giving developers until April 30 to update their apps to use the new login and Graph API the company introduced in April last year, before apps are updated automatically.

The Facebook personality quiz at the centre of the Cambridge Analytica scandal was not an isolated incident. For five years, the Graph API left a gaping hole in Facebook’s defences.

Finally, Facebook is allowing developers to run test queries through the Graph API Explorer App using their own access tokens.
