Oakland County Road Commission spokeswoman Cindy Dingell said torrential rains in Oakland Township on Wednesday, July 16, caused Paint Creek to crest, overwhelming a culvert beneath Orion Road.
“Please be advised that Orion Road just south of Dutton Road will be closed until further notice due to yesterday’s flooding,” Oakland Township posted on its website.
