OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams waited until he was an NBA champion to take his first sip of alcohol. The 24-year-old revealed to ESPN that he had never consumed alcohol before the Thunder’s Game 7 victory over the Indiana Pacers in the 2025 NBA Finals on June 22.

Jalen Williams claimed to drink alcohol for the first time after winning the NBA championship, but he wasn't a fan of what the Oklahoma City Thunder had.

In Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Williams scored 40 points on 56% shooting in a masterclass performance. The former first-round pick played a crucial role with the Thunder this season and will likely be remembered forever already as one of the best players to put on a Thunder uniform.
