The New England Patriots could make a splash move by tradining for Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

After ranking dead last in sacks last season (28), the Patriots boosted their pass rush by signing Harold Landry and K’Lavon Chaisson in free agency. Landry was the headline addition, as Mike Vrabel’s former second-round pick inked a three-year, $43.5 million contract after being released by the Titans.

As Spillane is locked in as the leader of the linebacker group (and potentially the defense), his primary running mate remains up in the air. After holding the role early in camp, Tavai, who remains one of New England’s lone bigger bodies at the position, could slot right back in when healthy.
